Job summary

Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Journeyworker - Plumber to maintain, install and repair piping systems and fixtures at the Homewood Campus. The role operates with limited supervision using skilled plumbing techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Journeymen or Master License required.
  • Five years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Read and interpret complex schematic and construction drawings, manuals and other documents.
  • Follow instructions from blueprints, drawings, work orders and oral directions.
  • Identify and diagnose routine and complex plumbing equipment problems.
  • Adhere to safety standards and local codes.
  • Plan and estimate materials and labor for demand work and projects.
