Qualifications

• Journeyman plumber license or better.
• Distribution Grade 4 Water Operator license (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 3+ years of related experience.
• Equivalency: 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and repair campus water, sewer, storm drain, secondary water, and natural gas systems.
• Operate utility drain cleaning and inspection equipment.
• Develop understanding of underground utilities and operation sequences.
• Identify improvements to physical condition and reliability of utility systems.
• Train and develop apprentices as assigned and seek development opportunities.
• Ensure all work complies with safety requirements, codes and regulations.
• Cross-train with other utility teams to enhance flexibility and reliability.
• Complete training and administrative requirements on time.
• Promote a culture of safety and professional communication with campus stakeholders.
