Job summary

University of Washington seeks a Plumber for Seattle campus facilities. You will perform journey-level plumbing work, maintain complex piping systems, and support preventive and corrective maintenance.

You will work with the Plumber Lead, coordinate with EH&S and other shops, and ensure safe operation of campus infrastructure. A recognized apprenticeship or journey-level status plus a WA PL-01 license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter, OR full journey status as a plumber/pipefitter/steamfitter in a union, OR four years’ applicable work experience.
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, test, and service plumbing and piping systems across campus.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fixtures and equipment.
• Read plans/blueprints to plan repairs and pipe assemblies.
• Coordinate with Leads and supervisors on progress and material needs.
• Operate and maintain safety equipment and follow all safety policies.
