Marr’s Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical is seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our residential service team in Bellingham. The role emphasizes diagnosing issues, performing repairs and replacements, and clear communication with homeowners.

We welcome candidates with residential, commercial, or industrial backgrounds; 2–3 years of residential service is preferred, with strong technical skills and customer-service mindset to transition into residential service.

Qualifications

• Current Washington Journeyman Plumber license — JP 01, 02, or 04 accepted.
• Strong hands-on plumbing experience.
• 2–3 years of residential service experience preferred.
• Commercial or industrial plumbing experience will also be considered.
• Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a variety of residential plumbing systems and issues.
• Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot water, drain, fixture, piping, and other plumbing issues.
• Explain findings and options to homeowners clearly.
• Present customers with appropriate service options.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Complete accurate job documentation and follow company procedures.
• Follow applicable plumbing codes and safety requirements.
• Represent Marr’s professionally in customers' homes.
• Work independently while collaborating with the service team.
• Participate in the on-call rotation beginning in 2027, approximately once per month.

Marr’s Heating, AC, Plumbing & Electrical is a long-standing, third-generation local company serving homeowners throughout Bellingham and the surrounding Whatcom County area. With services spanning plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical, Marr’s is committed to quality workmanship, professional customer service, and building long-term careers.

We’re looking for an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our residential service team in Bellingham.

The Role

This is a customer-facing service position for a plumber who is confident working independently, diagnosing plumbing issues, completing repairs and replacements, and communicating professionally with homeowners.

Marr’s is open to candidates with residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing backgrounds. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of residential service experience, but we’re willing to consider a strong plumber who has the technical skills and customer-service mindset to transition into residential service.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair a variety of residential plumbing systems and issues

• Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance

• Troubleshoot water, drain, fixture, piping, and other plumbing issues

• Identify the cause of plumbing problems and recommend appropriate solutions

• Clearly explain findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners

• Present customers with appropriate service options

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

• Complete accurate job documentation and follow company procedures

• Follow applicable plumbing codes and safety requirements

• Represent Marr’s professionally in customers’ homes

• Work independently while collaborating with the broader service team

• Participate in the company’s on-call rotation beginning in 2027, expected to be approximately once per month

What We’re Looking For

• Current Washington Journeyman Plumber license — JP 01, 02, or 04 accepted

• Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues

• Comfortable working directly with homeowners

• Reliable, organized, and safety-minded

• Ability to work independently in the field

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• ServiceTitan experience is a plus, but Marr’s is willing to train the right candidate

Compensation & Benefits

$90,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
