Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. in Philadelphia seeks a Journeyman Plumber to operate, repair and maintain hot and cold water systems, drainage, pumps and fixtures in a correctional environment.

You will read blueprints, lift heavy loads, provide your own basic tools, and may work overtime. A City of Philadelphia Journeyman license is required, with a valid driver’s license and ability to work in all climate conditions.

Qualifications

• Must read and speak English clearly.
• High School Diploma, GED or Trade School required.
• Minimum 3 years in plumbing trades.
• Journeyman license in City of Philadelphia required.
• Provide own basic hand tools and test equipment.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings and layouts.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Able to climb ladders and walk long distances.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
• Overtime may be required; 24/7 correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate, replace, repair and maintain domestic water systems.
• Maintain sanitary drainage systems, pumps and fixtures.
• Assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures per code.
• Study plans and drawings to determine work sequence.
• Locate and mark piping positions and valves.
