SEPTA seeks a Plumber - First Class to join our facilities team in the Philadelphia region. You will assemble, install, repair, inspect, and test piping for heating, water, drainage, fire equipment and alarm systems according to codes and specs.

The ideal candidate is a high school graduate with extensive plumbing experience, a valid Philadelphia journeyman's card, and a valid driver's license. You may operate ladder and bucket equipment as required and perform shop drawings and material lists

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing and related systems including heating; able to read drawings and prepare material lists.
• Must pass qualification tests: basic mathematics, blueprint reading, and use of plumbing hand tools.
• Valid Philadelphia journeyman's card and a valid driver's license; CDL permit required within 60 days of transfer.
• Will work from a bucket truck up to ~30 feet and climb a ~20-foot ladder during duties.

Responsabilidades

• Installs and repairs plumbing in street water/sewer connections, ejectors, drains, sprinklers, gas/tank lines and associated equipment.
• Installs pipe insulation and brass/copper tubing and fittings and related equipment.
• Inspects and tests fire equipment and alarm systems; maintains grounds and vehicles.
• Installs and repairs brass and copper tubing and related fittings.
