Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Journeyman Plumber for the UK HealthCare facility. The role covers daily plumbing and utility maintenance within a hospital environment, with a first shift schedule from 7:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of plumbing experience, a Journeyman Plumber license, and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Lifting and long periods of standing are required, with hospital experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of plumbing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Journeyman Plumber license required or preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
• High school diploma or GED; college preferred.
• Hospitals plumbing experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Plans and completes daily plumbing and utility maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate and schedule skilled trades for hospital maintenance.
• Monitor work orders and ensure correct labor and materials charges.
• Direct staff on safe procedures to protect patients and staff.
• Inspect work sites to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Estimate parts and materials needed for projects.
• Maintain vendor and contractor communications for repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure work aligns with Joint Commission, NFPA and applicable regs.

Job Summary

Plans and completes the daily operations of plumbing and utility maintenance responsibilities including planning and use of materials and inspection of plumbing equipment and systems, as well as ensuring all work performed meets regulations throughout the medical center. This is a first shift 7:30am to 4pm M-F schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules the activities of skilled trades' staff in the maintenance and repair of hospital buildings and equipment
• Monitors work orders to completion of projects to ensure that labor, supplies and materials are charged to appropriate work orders
• Provides direction to staff in the accurate methods to use in the performance of their duties to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors
• Conducts inspections of work sites to ensure that the work conforms and aligns with the job specifications.
• Recommends and implements policies and procedures for assigned area
• Estimates equipment parts and materials needed to complete assigned work
• Maintains communication with vendors, contractors and departmental personnel to coordinate activities and information regarding the repair, alteration and maintenance of equipment, machinery, systems and buildings
• Conduct all work in accordance with the Joint Commission, NFPA and all other applicable regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma Or GED, College Preferred
• 3-5 years of plumbing experience
• Hospital Plumbing Experience Preferred
• Journeyman Plumber License
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and withstand changing temperature conditions
• Ability to maneuver large trucks in and out of elevator and down corridors with ease
• Ability to lift and push heavy equipment
• Ability to bend with ease
