Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks a Journeyman Plumber for UK HealthCare on 1st shift. The role plans and completes daily plumbing/utility maintenance across the medical center, with a 7:30am–4pm schedule.

First shift responsibilities include coordinating staff, managing work orders, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Qualifications include a Journeyman license, 3–5 years of plumbing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong English skills.

• Journeyman Plumber license.

• Stand for long periods; withstand temperature changes.

• Lift and push heavy equipment; bend with ease.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and schedule activities of skilled trades for hospital facilities.
• Monitor work orders; ensure labor and materials charged to correct orders.
• Provide direction to staff on safe, proper methods.
• Inspect work sites for compliance with specifications.
• Recommend and implement policies for the area.
• Estimate parts and materials needed for tasks.
• Maintain communications with vendors and contractors.
• Ensure work complies with Joint Commission, NFPA, and regulators.

Salary: $25 to $27 per hour

Job Summary

Plans and completes the daily operations of plumbing and utility maintenance responsibilities including planning and use of materials and inspection of plumbing equipment and systems, as well as ensuring all work performed meets regulations throughout the medical center. This is a first shift 7:30am to 4pm M-F schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules the activities of skilled trades' staff in the maintenance and repair of hospital buildings and equipment
• Monitors work orders to completion of projects to ensure that labor, supplies and materials are charged to appropriate work orders
• Provides direction to staff in the accurate methods to use in the performance of their duties to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors
• Conducts inspections of work sites to ensure that the work conforms and aligns with the job specifications.
• Recommends and implements policies and procedures for assigned area
• Estimates equipment parts and materials needed to complete assigned work
• Maintains communication with vendors, contractors and departmental personnel to coordinate activities and information regarding the repair, alteration and maintenance of equipment, machinery, systems and buildings
• Conduct all work in accordance with the Joint Commission, NFPA and all other applicable regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED, College Preferred
• 3-5 years of plumbing experience
• Hospital plumbing experience preferred
• Journeyman Plumber License
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and withstand changing temperature conditions
• Ability to maneuver large trucks in and out of elevator and down corridors with ease
• Ability to lift and push heavy equipment
• Ability to bend with ease
