Art and Wellness Enterprises (AWE) is seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Journeyman Plumber. AWE supports operating non-profits founded by Alice Walton including the Alice L. Walton Foundation, Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, Art Bridges, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Momentary, and Heartland Whole Health Institute.

About the Position:

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for general daily maintenance and operation on all aspects of facility plumbing systems in all facilities. This position is responsible for all plumbing repairs, preventative maintenance, and maintaining compliance/codes.

What you will do:

• Perform plumbing repairs and fixture replacements, cleaning sewer lines and grease traps.
• Install and maintain water heaters, drain lines, and sewer lines.
• Coordinate and manage project schedules to minimize disruption or interference with daily operations.
• Maintain adequate training and valid State of Arkansas Plumbing License.
• Hold a valid State of Arkansas Boiler Certification.
• Supervise all plumbing contractors working on site/campus.
• Maintain compliance with ADA, City of Bentonville, Benton County, and State of Arkansas code requirements.
• Assist in maintaining files for mandatory training, certificates, and yearly maintenance schedules.
• Assist in preventative maintenance schedules for all plumbing systems.
• Assist in local, state, and insurance inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Assist with the safety program, monitoring compliance with applicable building and safety codes, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, hazardous materials, etc.
• May be required to participate in the on-call rotation, after hours work, or emergency calls involving facility needs.

Qualifications required for your success:

• Any combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
• Effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written. High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working with plumbing systems.
• Ability to understand and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
• Willingness and ability to learn specialized software.
• Effectively use a variety of hand/power tools and operate standard equipment and machinery; forklifts, extension/scissor lifts, vehicles/carts/trailers.
• Ability to multi-task and think critically in a busy work environment.
• Enthusiastic about being a team member at a major community center.
• Working knowledge of principles and practices of federal, state, and local law, code, and regulations applicable to the work, including safety regulations.
• High ethics in all aspects of business.
• Troubleshooting and system analysis skills, recognizing potential safety hazards.
• Ability to learn and use the maintenance management system.
• Ability to work independently and with initiative.
• Must be physically and mentally fit to respond to emergency situations.

Physical demands and work environment:
