Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks a skilled Millwright to install, repair and maintain heavy industrial machinery on site. Required are NCCER and TWIC certs with a valid driver’s license.

You will read blueprints, align, assemble, and test equipment in a fast-paced environment across diverse industries. The role demands multitasking, precise measurement, and teamwork; it involves on-site welding and dismantling activities, with significant physical effort and strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Certifications/Licenses: NCCER, TWIC card and Valid State Issued Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment using blueprints and schematic drawings.
