Job summary

Idaho Forest Group in Chilco, Athol, Idaho is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Journeyman Millwright. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will work with operations, electricians, engineers, and other trades, follow safety protocols, document work orders in CMMS, and participate in root cause analysis to reduce

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial mechanical experience.
• Participation in approved Millwright apprenticeship program or journeyman certification.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and alignment techniques.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and mechanical instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment with emphasis on safe, continuous operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document work orders in CMMS.
• Collaborate with operations, electricians, engineers and other trades.
• Support root cause analysis to eliminate repeat equipment failures.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and assist in vendor evaluation.
• Follow safety protocols and understand site-specific rules.
