Job summary

Qualifications

• Journeyman meterman card required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driving medical card.
• Driver's license required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA required.
• Must be physically and mentally able to perform the job efficiently and safely.
• Must be able to get along well with customers and general public.

Responsibilities

• Work safely.
• Install, test, repair and maintain metering equipment of all types, sizes, and voltages.
• Perform meter shop activities: operate test equipment, refurbish meters, program, interface with meters, and support meter databases.
• Maintain meter stock.
• Wire and install current, potential, and special metering jobs; test and repair meters.
• Conduct distribution testing and investigate customer concerns about voltage or bills.
• Meet with customers and discuss meter accuracy and energy usage information.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Live within reasonable distance of headquarters.
