Core Scientific, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Journeyman for on-site data center facilities in the Auburn, AL area. The role covers diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing gas, diesel, battery, and electric equipment within high-demand compute infrastructure.
You will perform routine PMs, support mechanical projects, and ensure safety and reliability within critical facilities. A strong background in electromechanical systems and team collaboration is essential.

The Mechanical Journeyman is a skilled tradesperson who has completed an apprenticeship and is fully qualified to work independently in the mechanical trades involving one or more of the following: heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, piping, or mechanical systems. The Journeyman will be responsible for performing journey‑level mechanical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of gasoline, diesel, battery, and electric equipment.

This job operates in a data center, office, and shop environment. This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment, including ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, power tools, and voltmeters. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, andliftup to 50 pounds.
This is a full-time, onsite position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends may be required.
