Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Meat Department Associate to assist daily with cutting fresh beef, pork, and grind following production schedules to meet advertised fresh meat cuts.

You will write fresh meat orders, organize and check in deliveries, and maintain positive relationships with customers, teammates, and leadership. Candidates must have familiarity with weights and measures for meat processing, follow safety and sanitation procedures, and have experience with inventory control.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the writing of fresh meat orders.
• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.
