Job summary

Arisco Contracting Group is seeking a Mason to perform masonry work, including mixing cement, bricks, and mortar, and shaping materials to meet specifications. The role requires reading technical drawings and maintaining tools and workspaces.

Candidates should be able to lift heavy loads and work well in a team. The position involves outdoor, physically demanding tasks in a construction setting; prior apprenticeship or 3+ years in a mason role is preferred, with OSHA familiarity and reliable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a mason apprenticeship or previous experience in a similar role, 3 years +
• Physical ability to perform manual labor for most of the day
• Familiarity with commonly-used masonry terms, techniques, tools, and materials
• Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team
• Lift an 80 lb. bag of mortar

Responsibilities

• Mix and prepare cement, bricks, and mortar for structures
• Cut and shape materials to meet the job’s specifications
• Assist in the creation of stairs, chimneys, walls, frames, walkways, and other structures
• Interpret technical drawings and follow their instructions
• Do your part to maintain our tools and workspaces
• Lift and carry bricks, concrete blocks, and stones from place to place
• Assist with other tasks as asked of you by your supervisor/foreman including those typically done by a mason tender
