The role requires assisting senior engineers, reviewing designs, performing analyses, and creating diagrams; the position is hybrid with 4 days in office and 1 remote day.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • At least 3+ years of Marine Systems engineering experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in design, development and evaluation of marine vessels and ship machinery.
  • Review third party design modifications to support US Coast Guard.
  • Perform design reviews and evaluate constructability.
  • Resolve technical issues and manage information through design and construction.
  • Conduct marine engineering analysis.
  • Create graphical representations of structures and systems.
  • Inspect ship equipment and systems.
  • Research advanced marine engineering designs or applications.
  • Prepare technical reports.

Are you a Marine Engineer with 3 years of experience looking for your next challenge? If so, our team in Washington, DC is looking for individuals to help support the United States Coast Guard and our Ship Design Group!

Responsibilities
  • Assist Senior Mechanical Engineers in design, development, and evaluation of the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment.
  • Support the US Coast Guard by reviewing third party design modifications.
  • Help with performing design reviews, evaluating constructability.
  • Help resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phase.
  • Conduct marine engineering analysis.
  • Create graphical representations of structures and systems.
  • Inspect ship equipment or systems.
  • Research advanced engineering designs or applications.
  • Help prepare technical reports.

THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION; 4 DAYS PER WEEK IN OFFICE, 1 DAY REMOTE

Pay Transparency Statement

The salary range for this position is USD $85,000.00/Yr. - USD $95,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
