Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Oiler/Fueler) Journeyman for a project in Abilene, TX. The role involves diagnosing production machinery, setting up and running equipment, and keeping systems in good working order.

Pay rate is up to $36/hr depending on experience. The day shift runs 6:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday, with full benefits and a focus on safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
• Background check may be required.
• Strong safety and compliance mindset.
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/diagnose production machinery.
• Set up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down production machinery.
• Keep designated machinery in running condition.
• Minimize down time through PM procedures.
• Troubleshoot machinery errors during production.
• Communicate issues with machines to management.
• Work with Machine Operators to ensure machines are running safely.
