Job summary

Reynolds Consumer Products is seeking a Journeyman Machinist for our Richmond, VA facility. You will maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using a wide range of tools and documentation.

You will perform precision machining from detailed blueprints, work a 24/7 schedule, and collaborate with operators and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three or more years as machinist/industrial mechanic in high-speed manufacturing; or five or more years; OR an Associate’s degree with three years of machinist experience.
• Ability to machine precision parts from detailed blueprints and sketches with tolerances.
• Knowledge of operation or use of related specialized tools and equipment.
• Ability to climb and work in high or confined spaces.
• Good communication skills, both oral & written, and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Operate machine shop equipment and use precision measuring tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic construction work (rigging, installation and demolition).
• Follow safety procedures and coordinate with operators, craftsman and contractors.
• Identify and resolve problems by gathering and analyzing information.
• Perform complex machining operations on various shop tools and machines.
• Work independently, with others, or in groups.
