Job summary

Golden Star Technology (GST) in Cerritos, CA is seeking a Journeyman Low Voltage / Structured Cabling Installer to join our growing team. The role covers installation, testing, troubleshooting, and support of structured cabling, low-voltage infrastructure, network cabling, fiber optic, and AV systems across commercial, education, healthcare, and government environments.

You will read blueprints and project documentation, install and test cabling pathways, AV racks, and related hardware while

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in structured cabling or low-voltage projects.
• Experience with Cat5e/Cat6, copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Valid driver's license and travel between job sites as needed.
• Provide standard hand tools and pursue industry certifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, certify, and troubleshoot cabling and AV systems.
• Perform cable pulls, terminations, labeling, and testing for copper and fiber.
• Install and support AV systems including displays and conferencing gear.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and project documentation; coordinate with managers and vendors.
• Maintain safety, quality, and industry installation standards.
