Job summary

National Grid is seeking Rated Lineworkers for anticipated positions at our Massachusetts North locations. You will build, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems, working at heights and around heavy equipment in all weather conditions.

Applicants must be a Lineworker 1/C or 2/C, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and be comfortable with travel to remote sites. The role offers career progression and training within a safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Lineworker 1/C or 2/C as demonstrated by proficiency testing and past performance appraisals.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Familiarity with safety standards and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of Lineworker 1/C and/or Single Person Worker.
• Construct, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systems.
• Operate aerial and excavation equipment, climb poles, and handle heavy loads.
• Complete records, reports, and required documentation.
