Job summary

Trico Electric Cooperative is seeking a Journeyman Lineman in Marana, AZ to safely construct, maintain, troubleshoot, and restore our electric distribution system. The role requires completion of an apprenticeship and a Journeyman certification, with experience in overhead and underground work and a strong safety mindset.

The position offers an hourly wage of $56.04–$58.99, with relocation assistance up to $12,500 to qualified candidates and overtime pay at 1.75x for hours beyond the standard

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and Journeyman Lineman certification/card.
• Experience performing journeyman-level overhead and underground line work.
• Strong knowledge of electric distribution construction, maintenance, and repair practices.
• Proficiency with pole climbing, hot sticking, underground cable installations, terminations, and heavy equipment operation.
• Valid Arizona CDL and compliance with FMCSA requirements.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair overhead and underground electric distribution facilities.
• Frame and set poles, install underground cable, perform splicing and terminations, and maintain equipment.
• Perform switching and sectionalizing operations following procedures.
• Patrol power lines, identify system concerns, and maintain records.
• Troubleshoot outages and assist with emergency restoration.
• Operate and work safely around heavy equipment and energized facilities.
