Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years line work experience for external candidates and completion of apprentice lineman training with B-200 certification written test (80%+).
• Must possess and maintain a valid CDL A state drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Climbs poles or rides in bucket to install/repair wires, arms, insulators and hardware.
• Installs/retrieves underground facilities such as cable, transformers, pedestals.
• Performs energized line work using hot sticks and insulated equipment.
• Covers energized lines with rubber goods to ensure safe handling without service interruption.
• May service streetlight systems and patrol power lines.
• Performs related or less skilled work as assigned.
