Job summary

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to perform medium and high voltage electrical functions at our Fairfield, CA location.

The role requires journeyman level expertise with 5kV/15kV systems and on-call rotation, ensuring reliable service and customer satisfaction within a private utility setting. Qualifications

Journey-level knowledge and skills in the electrical lineman trade.
Experience with 5kV and 15kV systems and associated equipment.
Ability to read manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting.
Capable of preparing detailed maintenance and test reports.
Commitment to safety, reliability and customer service.

Responsibilities

Perform inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, installation and switching on HV equipment (5kV, 15kV, 115kV).
Experience pulling, repairing, splicing and terminating high voltage cables.
Install and test meters and streetlights; troubleshoot with engineering staff.
Prepare reports detailing tests, repairs and maintenance performed.
Operate cranes, aerial trucks and related equipment; respond to emergencies.
Provide timely customer service and be available for on-call rotation.
