City Light & Power, Inc. is seeking a Crew Supervisor for our Travis AFB, CA location. The role combines supervisory oversight with hands-on journeyman duties on energized overhead distribution and transmission systems.

The candidate will operate bucket trucks and other equipment, supervise apprentices, and uphold safety standards, with a focus on reliable, high-quality electrical work and compliance with base access requirements.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Lineman Card or verifiable work experience.
• Minim um of four (4+) years of utility experience in OH distribution.
• CDL-A preferred with excellent driving record.
• Supervisory experience required and demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee crew during construction, maintenance, and repair of energized overhead distribution and/or transmission systems.
• Perform journeyman level medium/high voltage electrical functions.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger/derricks, pulling & tensioning equipment.
• Digs holes, sets poles, strings wire, tests systems.
• Enforce safety standards, train Apprentice Linemen, and manage overtime as needed.
• Maintain professional conduct and safety culture on-site.

Crew Supervisor- Journeyman Lineman/Foreman

Location: Onsite at Travis Air Force Base, CA

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking qualified candidates for a Crew Supervisor position at our Travis Air Force Base location. This position oversees the crew during construction, maintenance, and repair of energized overhead distribution and/or transmission systems; additionally, the Crew Supervisor will perform journeyman level medium and high voltage electrical functions on the electrical system. This is a supervisory/hands-on position.

CLP guarantees 40 hours of work every week.

Duties and Requirements:

• Experienced with Overhead and Underground Distribution line work, hot sticking, and rubber gloving.
• Primarily works out of an insulated aerial lift (bucket truck) on energized OH Distribution circuits.
• Operates Insulated Aerial Lifts (Bucket Trucks), Digger/Derricks, Pulling & Tensioning Equipment as well as other industry standard tools and equipment.
• Digs holes & trenches, sets poles, climbs poles, strings wire, installs equipment and tests systems.
• Works with various types of tools; hand, battery, electric, hydraulic, gas-powered, etc.
• Follows safety standards and procedures to ensure work is complete without incident or injury.
• Participates in the supervision, instruction, and development of Apprentice Linemen.
• At all times, adheres to a culture of safety, professionalism and quality.
• Participates in safety meetings and training.
• Performs after-hours duties as required.
• Works scheduled and unscheduled overtime, as needed.
• Must have Journeyman Lineman Card or verifiable work experience
• Minimuim of four (4+) years of experience working with utilities, in the electrical OH distribution field
• Valid CDL license with excellent driving record preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize technology in completion of duties.
• Previous crew supervision experience required.
• Performs other duties as assigned/needed.
