OMPA is seeking a Journeyman Line Worker to perform advanced line work, including substation maintenance and troubleshooting, with responsibility for oil sampling and switching under supervision. This role requires caring for safety and regulatory compliance, and may involve travel and after-hours work.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited Line Worker Apprenticeship, 4+ years in overhead/underground systems, a valid Class A CDL, and knowledge of OSHA, NERC, and FERC regulations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Line worker Apprenticeship Program.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with overhead/underground systems.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Extensive knowledge of powerline construction and repair.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NERC and FERC regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and operate all types of related electrical line equipment.

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced line work independently, including substation maintenance and system troubleshooting.
• Lead or assist in substation switching and oil sampling.
• Operate and maintain all line equipment with minimal supervision.
• Mentor apprentices and ensure safety compliance in the field.
