Xcel Energy is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to be located at the Faribault Service Center in Faribault, MN. The role covers overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliable customer service.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Line School diploma, plus a valid Commercial Class A CDL. You must live within 20 miles and be available for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a degree/diploma from an accepted Line School.
• Must meet driver qualification requirements, including the possession of a valid Commercial Class A Driver's License.
• Must be physically capable of performing all aspects of electric overhead and underground distribution construction, operations, and maintenance work.
• Must have good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must presently be qualified to be a 3rd Step Apprentice Lineman or higher.
• Must be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude.
• Demonstrated commitment to work safely and productively.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of the Lineman Classification, including work on overhead and underground electric distribution and transmission systems.
• Maintain a high-level commitment to safety and provide quality customer service.
• Be self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong teamwork.
