Rate of Pay: starting at $55.00-$61.00/hour
Location: Mead, CO
Work Hours: 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., half-hour lunch, Monday-Friday. Overtime as necessary. On-call
Works under the direct supervision of a Superintendent. Performs duties including construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead & underground distribution lines and related facilities, service work, and other assigned duties.
Constructs underground and overhead distribution lines, including excavation, conduit and vault installation, underground wire installation, terminations, pole and anchor digging, framing, setting poles and anchors, stringing, sagging, armor rod, down guy, connecting conductors, and working with pad mount gear. Tasks involve new construction or working on energized and de-energized lines. Climbing is required.
Must be able to react to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Completion of a four-year certified apprenticeship program with experience in line construction and maintenance. A Journeyman Lineman Certificate is required. Valid Colorado driver’s license and Class A CDL license are mandatory.
Must reside within a 30-mile radius of the assigned office within 90 days of hire.
Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs., carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull approximately 150 lbs during pole work or transformer movement.
Work is outdoors under adverse weather conditions. Noise levels may reach 100-120 decibels.
