In This Role You Will

• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate technical skills in construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Recommend operational improvements.
• Coordinate with team members.
• Train less experienced team members.
• Perform emergency and on-call duties, understanding voltage regulation, fault current, and line protection.
• Apply knowledge of transformer sizing.
• Maintain familiarity with transmission and distribution lines, substations, and switching stations.
• Use and complete all required documentation.
• Maintain a positive attitude reflecting the company’s core values.
• Communicate effectively with members during routine and outage events.

To Be Considered For The Position, You Should

• Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from a Lineman Academy preferred.
• Have at least 1 year of utility experience preferred.
• Possess a North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Maintain a clean driving record and be able to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Be capable of lifting over 100 pounds.
• Be willing to perform on-call duties and respond to emergencies in all weather conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Reside within or be willing to relocate within 25 miles of Cornelius, NC.
