Job summary

Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) in Immokalee, FL seeks a Journeyman Line Specialist to perform construction and maintenance for overhead and underground electrical distribution and transmission. Role requires CDL Class A and apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

You will respond to outages, ensure safety, and support storm/restoration efforts. At LCEC you’ll enjoy benefits and shift differentials, with a demanding schedule including long hours during storm events and emergency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified line worker apprentice program completion and/or four years journeyman experience.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A required.
• Must meet physical demands of duties and live within 45-minute commute from regular work site.

Responsibilities

• Construction/maintenance of transmission/distribution facilities in a cost effective manner.
• Ensure facilities remain reliable and efficient.
• Assist in emergency repair and power restoration after outages.
• Respond reliably to calls during regular and extended hours.
• Account for all construction materials (issues, returns, salvage, etc.).
• Perform duties safely and in accordance with accident prevention rules.
