Matrix Service Company in Washington state is hiring for a laborer role focusing on skilled construction tasks, site prep, material handling, and operation of hand and power tools. The role requires adherence to safety regulations, ability to work independently, and potential supervision of apprentices on project sites.

Responsibilities include supporting excavation, concrete, demolition, weatherization, and heavy-construction activities while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years or more in refinery maintenance experience.
• Thorough understanding of Laborer type work and expertise in basic hand tools.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
• Able to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions.
• Proficiency in mechanical systems and ability to read/interpret technical schematics and manuals.
• Ability to diagnose and solve complex equipment issues independently.
• Must pass background check and drug testing program.

Responsabilités

• Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control).
• Rigging, signaling, and flagging for heavy-construction lifts.
• Identify and report hazardous materials to maintain a safe, compliant job site.
• Trenching and excavation tasks following safety standards and grade requirements.
• Assist with asbestos and lead abatement procedures.
• Support concrete and asphalt preparation, placement, and finishing on heavy-construction projects.
• Complete weatherization tasks to improve energy efficiency and protect structures.
• Work well with supervision and may train apprentices.
• Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.
