Job summary

LPR Construction, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Ironworker for projects in Haskell, Texas. This temporary role involves structural steel erection, bolt-up operations, and field fabrication, with duties spanning reading blueprints, rigging, and coordinating with crane operators.

Work is on-site with an 8-month duration and potential transfer to subsequent projects. 6-10 hour shifts are typical, with travel pay and a weekly per-diem of $700 plus holidays after a year.

Qualifications

• Under supervision, the Journeyman Ironworker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner.
• Use of safety equipment and PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Bolt-up structural members following blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
• Rig structural-steel members to hoist cables, using chains or cables.
• Hoist steel beams, girders, and columns into place, using cranes or signal hoisting equipment operators.
• Detail work including installing angles, plates, clips, joists, tubes, kickers, safety cables/posts.
• Assemble plumbing of structural steel and weld stairs, handrails, guardrails.
• Field fabrication or assembly of metal parts such as steel frames, columns, beams, and girders per blueprints.
