Job summary

All Things Metal Industries is seeking a Journeyman Ironworker to support commercial construction across the Phoenix area. The role involves safe erection of structural steel, alignment of beams and stairs, and collaboration with crews to meet project specs.

The candidate should read shop drawings, perform welding (3G/4G SMAW), and mentor apprentices while upholding OSHA and safety standards. Local work with strong growth opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level ironworking experience in commercial construction.
• Experience with rigging, signaling, and structural steel erection.
• Ability to weld 3G and 4G SMAW.
• Ability to read and interpret erection drawings and shop drawings.
• Experience installing stairs, guardrails, and grab rails.
• Ability to lead small crews and mentor apprentices.
• Working knowledge of fall protection systems and construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Erect structural steel and miscellaneous metal assemblies per plans, OSHA, and AISC.
• Raise, position, align, connect, and secure beams, columns, stairs, and guardrails.
• Read and interpret erection and shop drawings.
• Perform welding, layout, and field fabrication.
• Use gridlines and layout tools for accurate installation.
• Lead small crews and mentor apprentices on site.
• Maintain welding certifications and safety compliance.
• Ensure high workmanship and customer relations.
