Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Electrician to join our team in La Porte, TX. You will assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and fixtures, diagnose malfunctions, and ensure safety and code compliance across industrial settings.

We value 3–5 years of Journeyman experience, a high school diploma, NCCER, and valid licenses. The role requires overtime availability and physical endurance; we are an ESOP-owned employer offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NCCER.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid TDLR.
• Meet physical demands as listed above.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed by the assigned location.
• Applicants must be legally able to work for ANY employer in the United States. Austin Industrial is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa for this position.

Responsibilities

• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on potential hazards of continued operation of equipment.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring based on job specifications and codes.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
