Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an experienced Electrician for our Houston, TX operations. The role involves assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring and equipment in industrial settings.

You will diagnose malfunctions, read blueprints, and troubleshoot systems using electrical test tools, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of journeyman experience, NCCER Industrial Journeyman Electrician certification, and a valid state

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently to perform duties.
• Must have worked as an Industrial Electrician for a minimum of 4 years.
• Must know basic electrical theory, e.g., Ohm's law.
• Must be able to install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to bend and cut conduit using hand saws and bending equipment.
• Must be proficient in cable pulling methods to run the cable through pathways.
• Must be able to use specialized electrical tools such as ohm meters, multimeters, and terminating devices.
• Must be able to terminate low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and correct problems using test equipment.
• Read blueprints and schematics to perform duties.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
• Identify cable types, gauges, and colors; install and modify as needed.
• Work with NCCER/industry standards and safety procedures.
