Job summary

DC Water is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician 11 (Journeyman) to handle the repair and installation of electrical equipment and distribution systems. Responsibilities include maintenance of AC/DC systems and testing equipment.

The ideal candidate must have a valid DC Journeyman Electrician’s License and possess a minimum of 3 years experience with an Associate’s degree or 5 years experience with a HS diploma/GED. This position demands understanding of electrical systems and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience with an Associate’s degree or 5 years with a HS diploma/GED.
• Must have a valid DC Journeyman Electrician’s License and Motor Vehicle Operating License.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks for electrical equipment and electronic controls.
• Test and repair electrical equipment per procedures.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions on electrical systems.
