Job summary

Gdc-Industrial seeks a Journeyman Electrician (E5) to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on industrial/commercial sites. You will read schematics, perform conduit work, troubleshoot issues, and verify work per NEC and project specs.

Required are a Journeyman license, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and LOTO training, with 4+ years of experience. Ability to mentor apprentices and work safely in diverse environments is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Journeyman Electrician license and NEC knowledge required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Team-oriented with safety focus

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
• Read, interpret, and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Perform conduit installation, wire pulling, terminations, and equipment hookups
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify root causes of issues
• Perform testing, inspections, and verification of completed work
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and project requirements
• Mentor and guide apprentice electricians
• Coordinate daily tasks with lead electricians or foremen
• Identify material shortages, design conflicts, or safety concerns and communicate them to supervision
• Participate in job hazard analyses (JHAs), permits, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and required training
• Report hazards, near misses, and incidents immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with skill level
