Idaho Furnace Plumbing Source in Idaho Falls seeks an experienced Journeyman HVAC Technician for residential and light commercial service, troubleshooting, and installations. You will diagnose systems, perform repairs, and ensure work meets codes.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and strong customer service; requires Idaho Journeyman license (preferred), EPA 608 preferred, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of HVAC experience required.
• Journeyman HVAC license (Idaho preferred) required.
• EPA 608 Certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems (furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, boilers)
• Perform residential and light commercial installations
• Troubleshoot electrical, airflow, and mechanical system issues
• Conduct system inspections and preventive maintenance
• Recommend repair vs. replacement options honestly
• Communicate clearly with customers and explain system operation
• Ensure all work meets local codes and manufacturer specifications
• Complete work orders and documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site
• Work with dispatch and install teams for smooth operations
