Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Installer to join our Cincinnati team. The role focuses on installing and maintaining commercial HVAC duct systems, reading blueprints, and fabricating sheet metal components.

Candidates should have strong technical skills, safety awareness, and the stamina to work at heights. You will assemble, install, and secure ductwork, hangers, and supports, using snips, brakes, and plasma cutters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an HVAC Installer.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC duct systems, fabrication techniques and installation standards.
• Proficiency with sheet metal tools (snips, brakes, plasma cutters, drills).
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials; comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and shop drawings to determine HVAC ductwork placement.
• Assemble HVAC ductwork pieces for installation at the job site.
• Place hangers and supports for HVAC duct."

Job Details

You will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems in commercial settings. The candidate must be comfortable working at heights and be able to lift heavy materials. This is a permanent position requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

1. Reading blueprints and shop drawings to determine the location of HVAC ductwork placement.
2. Assembling HVAC ductwork pieces for installation at the job site, as necessary.
3. Placing hangers and supports for HVAC duct.
4. Utilizing sheet metal tools (snips, brakes, plasma cutters, drills, etc.) proficiently.
5. Lifting heavy materials, working at heights, and performing physically demanding tasks.
6. Installing commercial HVAC ductwork, including rectangular, spiral, round, and specialty metal systems.
7. Fabricating sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other fabrication tools as needed.
8. Ensuring all installations are completed on time and to the highest standard of quality.
9. Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Installer.
2. Strong knowledge of HVAC duct systems, fabrication techniques, and installation standards.
3. Proficiency in using sheet metal tools (snips, brakes, plasma cutters, drills, etc.).
4. Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately.
5. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
6. Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
10. HVAC Installation certification or equivalent preferred.
