New Age Motors INC is seeking a Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic for our clean, well-kept shop in the Leduc business park. Full-time position with overtime potential and a competitive benefits program.

Ideal candidates hold a Red Seal, HET Journeyman license, and strong diagnostics in diesel engines. Expect 40 hours weekly, 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with pay at $42.00–$48.00 per hour and overtime eligibility.

Qualificações

• Red seal certification or equivalent for journeyman status.
• Proven diagnosis and troubleshooting skills in heavy-duty systems.
• Diesel engine experience with hands-on repair knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Experience in a repair shop atmosphere and hands-on duties.
• Ability to collaborate well with other mechanics.
• Experience with heavy-duty equipment and maintenance.
• CVIP licensing and related knowledge are a plus.
• Knowledge of CVIPs, trailers, and air & electric brakes.
• Ability to mentor apprentices and transfer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform quality repairs and preventative maintenance on medium/heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and maintain safety standards.
• Read work orders and interpret technical manuals.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete service documentation as instructed.
• Inspect equipment and coordinate repairs with staff.
• Train or assist other technicians and apprentices.
• Assist in shop cleanup and housekeeping.
• Perform CVIP and maintenance inspections.
• Provide general customer service as needed.

Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic

New Age Motors is now open and we require a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. We are currently offering full time employment for the right candidate in a clean, organized, new, very well kept shop in the Leduc business park.

Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• Red seal certificate
• Strong experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Diesel engine experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a repair shop atmosphere
• Ability to work well with other mechanics
• Equipment experience
• CVIP License would be a great asset
• Knowledge in CVIPs, Trailers, Air & Electric Brakes
• Ability to mentor apprentices

Responsibilities & Duties

• Performing quality repairs and preventative maintenance services on medium/Heavy duty trucks and various types of trailers.
• Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner
• Interpreting work orders and technical manuals
• Perform fault diagnosis and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures and concerns
• Ensure service documentation is completed as per instructions
• Complete inspections on equipment and co-ordinate with staff on repairs
• Training and/or assisting other technicians or apprentices with their work
• Assist in shop cleanup and housekeeping
• Perform CVIP and Maintenance Inspections
• General customer service

Job Details and Compensation

Experience: heavy duty mechanic: 5 years (required)

License / Certification: HET Journeyman License (required)

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour

Additional pay: Overtime pay
