Job summary

Pape’ Machinery, Inc. – Construction & Forestry Division in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Journeyman Field Technician/Mechanic to service construction and forestry equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose and repair, travel in a fully equipped service vehicle, and interact directly with customers to ensure uptime and reliability. The role requires 5+ years of heavy diesel experience, own tools, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel equipment across brands.
• Must provide own tools.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Self-motivation and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy diesel construction and forestry equipment at customer sites.
• Travel to customer locations in a fully equipped Pape’ service vehicle to maximize uptime.
• Communicate clearly with customers and deliver high-quality service.
