Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Oklahoma seeks an experienced equipment operator to perform maintenance on roads and rights-of-way, load and grade material, and manage trenching for utilities. You will ensure equipment is safe, fueled, and ready for daily tasks while supervising others as needed.

The role requires ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift heavy loads, and adhere to strict safety standards. OT may be required based on workload.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Effective communication with management and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate power construction equipment to excavate, move and grade material.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water pipes and sewer pipes.
• Inspect equipment and maintain fluid levels and lubrication.
• Instruct and train employees in safe operation of construction equipment.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Estimate sizes, distances and quantities for work activities.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
