Job summary

PacifiCorp in Salt Lake City, UT seeks an experienced mechanic to repair distribution utility equipment, including gas and diesel units, digger/derricks and buckets. You will track maintenance and prioritize tasks to limit downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CDL-A within 90 days, and formal or hands-on experience as an automotive/mechanized equipment mechanic. Primary work is onsite with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Qualified automotive/mechanized construction equipment mechanic training or experience.
• CDL-A within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate Profile

This position requires a self-starting, self-motivated individual who can perform, arrange for, track and over see the repair of small and large distribution utility equipment including gas and diesel powered, hydraulically operated digger/derricks, personnel buckets and other construction equipment with minimum supervision. A focus on cost and limiting end user down time is a priority. Input of computer based maintenance records is an expectation. The ability to easily adapt and focus the job scheduling priorities is highly desireable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must have training and/or be an experienced a qualified automotive or mechanized construction equipment mechanic.
• Successful completion of standardized qualifying examination (Company provided).
• Must obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of start date. (Completed written and driving tests)
