Job summary

Astrion seeks a Journeyman Engineering Technician to join the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC) at Lackland AFB, TX. The role is full-time with top secret clearance requirements and no travel, onsite support for Air Force systems.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining instrumentation, assisting lead engineers, and collecting data across aviation and weapons platforms. Strong electronics background preferred.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware.
• Instrumentation – training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques.
• At least one year of electronics/instrumentation experience in military hardware support.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain technical instrumentation.
• Support the lead engineer in design, installation, and production.
• Assist with local data collection on integrated aviation/weapons systems.
• Install and operate range equipment as needed.

Journeyman Engineering Technician

LOCATION: Lackland AFB, TX

JOB STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL: No/Onsite

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Engineering Technician suporting the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC) within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) located at Lackland AFB, Texas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and one (1) year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements:
• Instrumentation – Must have sixteen (16) weeks of civilian or military training in electronics or basic instrumentation techniques and at least one (1) of the three (3) years of experience must be in electronics/instrumentation supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Exceptional customer relationship skills.
