Job summary

TIC Inc. is seeking an experienced electrical technician to plan, lay out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors and control systems in Abilene, TX.

You will interpret drawings, install conduit, connect wiring, and ensure safety and compliance with codes and standards. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and strong knowledge of electrical tools, safety practices, and plan interpretation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with experience in electrical work.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical tools and safety practices.
• Ability to understand, follow and communicate plans and instructions with supervision.
• Proficient use of electrical, hand, power, layout and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, sketches and plans to determine work procedures, tools and equipment.
• Install electrical conduit, assemble and terminate wiring, and install control systems.
• Test systems and verify electrical continuity and safety.
• Observe equipment to identify hazards and determine adjustments or replacements.
• Work with high and low voltage systems and perform disassembly/repair of equipment.
