Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a full-time Electrician for the Facilities Management department to perform journey-level electrical work across county facilities. The role involves installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork in a 24/7 work environment.

Applicants should have at least three years of journey-level experience, a high school diploma or GED, and may substitute apprenticeship time for experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of journey-level electrical experience in a commercial and/or industrial work environment.
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an apprenticeship program may substitute for up to one year of experience.
• Valid Arizona driver's license or ability to obtain one; PREA background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical motor control systems.
• Install electrical circuits from 120V to 480V and lay out, bend, and install conduit.
• Perform load calculations and preventive maintenance; document activities and manage repairs.
