Job Title: Traveling Electrician (Low Voltage & Medium Voltage)

Location: Southaven, MS (Memphis TN)

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00/hour (60.00-70.00 For foreman) (based on experience) + Overtime

Per Diem: $160/day

Travel: 80%+ travel required on rotation schedules

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced licensed Journeyman Electricians to support the installation and commissioning of electrical systems on large-scale industrial and data center projects. This role involves installing, terminating, testing, and energizing new electrical infrastructure. Candidates must have strong experience in industrial or data center electrical work and be willing to travel extensively to project sites.

This is not a facilities maintenance, service, or plant operations role.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate conduit, cable tray, underground duct banks, cable, and wire systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and electrical drawings.

• Install, land, torque, and energize electrical equipment according to specifications.

• Perform 480V building and feeder installations.

• Support commissioning and first energization of new electrical systems.

• Follow all safety procedures, including NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.

• Utilize testing equipment such as multimeters, meggers, and ammeters.

• Work safely in outdoor environments, at heights, and in confined spaces.

Low Voltage Electrician Requirements

• Active State Journeyman Electrician License preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of industrial or data center electrical experience .

• Experience with:

• 415V / 480V electrical systems

• Switchgear

• Busway systems

• PDU/UPS installations

• Main Switchboards (MSBs)

• Grounding systems

• Strong experience with electrical terminations and hands-on installation work.

• Ability to work from electrical prints and drawings.

Medium Voltage Electrician Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Medium Voltage experience (5kV+) .

• Documented experience performing 15kV and/or 35kV cable terminations .

• Experience with:

• Medium Voltage Switchgear (MVSG)

• Generator Step-Up Transformers (GSUs)

• 15kV and 35kV cable installations

• Underground duct banks

• Hipot and VLF testing support

• Working adjacent to energized medium-voltage systems

• Knowledge of OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E, and LOTO procedures.

• Experience working on systems ranging from 12.47kV, 13.8kV, and 34.5kV .

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial or data center electrical experience .

• Experience installing:

• Conduit

• Cable Tray

• Duct Bank

• Feeder Cable

• Electrical Terminations

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and work packages.

• Proficient with electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools.

• NFPA 70E and LOTO knowledge required.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work overtime.

Compensation & Benefits

• $30.00 - $60.00/hour, 60-70 for foreman based on experience.

• Overtime opportunities available.

• $160/day per diem while traveling.

• Long-term opportunities supporting major data center projects.

• Upon permanent hire, employees receive $25,000 in company equity , vesting over four years:

• 25% after Year 1

• 6.25% vested quarterly thereafter until fully vested.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $70.00/hr.
