Journeyman Electrician (Low Voltage - LSS)

Support Quality Assurance responsibilities for a client in the Greater Portland, Oregon area. Responsible for code compliance, constructability, and installation support for Construction Management and Engineering Groups.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect materials and installations to ensure compliance with specifications and codes (Master Specifications, Local and State Codes, NFPA, SMACNA, International Codes, ASME, AWS, etc.).
  2. Coordinate with project management and trades on quality and system operation matters.
  3. Assist trades with installation functions and problem-solving.
  4. Perform inspections and sign-offs.
  5. Participate in SOPs and pre-task plan audits.

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years supporting construction and industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of local and national codes, construction drawings, and industry practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret building prints/drawings.
  • Effective communication skills with engineers, customers, trades, inspectors, and project managers.
  • Proficiency with computers and scheduling tools preferred.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, ascend/descend stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and near loud equipment.

Education: Must have a Journeyman Electrician license.
