Job Description:

****To qualify for this role, you must be able to deploy and be on long-term assignment on Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands.

Position Overview:

Performs essential electrical tasks required in the construction and renovation of family housing units, exercising good interpersonal and technical skills while adhering to safety standards and building codes.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
2. Follow blueprints, building plans, and sketches to meet client needs.
3. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance with codes.
4. Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
5. Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
6. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and plumbers, to meet project requirements.
7. Assist in installing electrical systems in new buildings and renovating existing systems.
8. Work directly with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to review plans and recommend improvements.
9. Coordinate project schedules with electricians, laborers, and resources, verifying materials for conformance to specifications.
10. Work independently or as part of a team to complete assignments on time.
11. Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

Education/Experience:

• 10+ years of related electrical work experience, including installation, maintenance, and repair.

Skills/Competencies:

• Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Use of tool belts and tools recommended.
• OSHA Safety 30-Hour Certification.
• Journeyman Electrician License or Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical trade experience.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory role, managing employees, schedules, and operations.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work days or night shifts.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to relocate to Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Valid US passport.

Salary Range: $86,700 - $151,700
