Amteck in the United States seeks a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent and potentially supervise a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices. You will install, alter and repair electrical systems and equipment, with opportunities to learn low voltage, controls, process work and fire alarm in other divisions of Amteck.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending and installing conduit, wiring devices and panels, reading blueprints, and mentoring junior crew

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
• Own tools as required by company policy and able to use them.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.
• Team-player mentality with safety focus.
• Ability to read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions.

Responsabilités

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, brand circuit and feeder conductors.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuiting.
• Read project specs, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small areas of work from drawings including underground layout.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
