We Power America in Cedar Rapids is seeking electricians for both journey level and supervisory roles on high profile commercial and industrial projects. These positions emphasize hands-on electrical installations, maintenance, and teamwork across contract projects.

Qualifications

Experience with commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues with various tools to resolve problems.
Ensure all work complies with local/state/federal electrical codes and safety standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for installations and upgrades.
Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems to meet new requirements.
Follow strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
Provide on-call emergency electrical repairs and quick response.
